Friday, August 25, 2006 ::: NERVOUS IN THE LIGHT OF DAWN I dreamed I was in the desert Without any love Stone gray clouds Hovering above Silence all around me Wandering alone And I realized there is nothing anyone can really own And I wished for guidance And I wished for peace I could see the lightning somewhere in the east And I wished for affection And I wished for calm As I lay there Nervous in the light of dawn. It's hard to change and it's hard to move It takes years for rough to be made smooth You can use up all of your precious energy to be tossed like a shell from a hungry sea Hold me in your arms Until I fall asleep I'm so tired, Hold me. So I bought an album To look inside myself To say things thats left unsaid but at the same time spoken too many times before One. Two. Three. Four. These numbers won't go away. Back and forth. Back and forth. Isn't it funny. All these years. These numbers just won't go away. And nobody wants to know. Nobody needs to know. But viewers, what you should know, is that Leigh's nash album is officially amazing. It's a little mellow, but lyrically and musically it's pure awesomeness. It's a bit poetic, just like what Sixpence used to be. It's organic. Songs that are basic but beautiful just the way they are. Without being over produced or being ostentatious. Beautiful.
